Roles & Permissions in the Multi Calendar

Overview

The Multi Calendar is shared between two main user roles :

  • Operations (Admin team) – internal users managing multiple properties, reservations, and service coordination.

  • Landlords (Hosts) – external users managing their own properties.

While both see the same calendar view and data (units, reservations, and availability), the actions and editing options differ slightly based on role and permissions.

Shared Capabilities

Both Operations and Landlords can:

✅ View all properties, rooms, and reservations ✅ Scroll through the calendar (past and future dates) ✅ Search, filter, and use the Today shortcut ✅ View blocked dates, availability, and restrictions overlays ✅ Open reservation details (read-only mode) ✅ See rate, restriction, and availability indicators

These core features ensure both roles have a complete overview of property activity and occupancy.

Summary

  • Landlords have direct control over their property calendars — they can adjust availability, rates, and restrictions freely.

  • Operations users can perform all the same actions but may require specific permissions unless they have full access.

  • Both roles can view everything, but only authorized users can edit or create bookings.

This ensures that every action on the Multi Calendar — from blocking dates to editing availability — is protected by clear access controls, maintaining consistency and preventing accidental changes across accounts.
