Airbnb Sync

Keep Hububb in step with your Airbnb account. When landlords change something on Airbnb (e.g., publish a new listing, re-activate an old one, pause a listing), Airbnb Sync pulls those changes into Hububb so the dashboard, calendars, and services stay accurate. This is a “pull” sync: we fetch the current state from Airbnb. It doesn’t push Hububb edits back to Airbnb.

When to use it

  • You connected an Airbnb account previously and:

    • Added new Airbnb listings.

    • Re-activated a previously paused/unlisted Airbnb listing.

    • Paused/unlisted a listing on Airbnb and want Hububb to reflect that.

  • You see the Airbnb disclaimer at the top of Manage → Property and want the latest Airbnb status on Hububb.

What the landlord sees (UX)

  • In Manage → Property, an “Airbnb disclaimer & Sync” card explains that changes don’t auto-sync from Hububb to Airbnb.

  • A “Sync” button opens a short confirmation dialog:

    • Confirming starts the sync in the background.

    • A success toast says the sync has started; you can continue using the app.

  • No long spinner or frozen screens: the sync is asynchronous. Updated data appears after the background job finishes.

How it works

1

Start the sync

  • You click Sync and confirm.

  • Hububb schedules a background job to “pull the truth” from Airbnb.

2

What the sync job does

  • Checks all listings in the connected Airbnb account.

  • Compares them to what Hububb already knows.

  • Applies changes:

    • New Airbnb listings → created as new properties in Hububb and connected to Airbnb.

    • Paused/unlisted on Airbnb → marked inactive in Hububb (with a notification email).

    • Re-activated on Airbnb → reconnected in Hububb.

    • Existing active listings → refreshed in Hububb (details and mappings).

  • Ensures connections are wired (rate plans, rooms, and channel mappings) and turns on standard webhooks for future bookings/messages.

  • Loads future reservations so calendars won’t look empty.

3

Background processing & UX

  • The sync runs asynchronously; you receive a success toast when it starts and can continue using the app.

  • When the background job completes, Hububb updates dashboards, calendars, and properties accordingly.

Outcomes you can expect

  • New Airbnb listings appear as properties in Hububb, connected and ready to manage.

  • Previously inactive Airbnb listings become active again in Hububb.

  • Properties Airbnb marked inactive become inactive in Hububb (and you’ll get an email).

  • Future reservations are pulled so calendars reflect real upcoming stays.

  • For connected listings, rate plans and mapping links are kept aligned.

Limitations and notes

  • Pull-only: Hububb doesn’t push your Manage-tab edits back to Airbnb.

  • Sync time: Typically completes within a few minutes; you can keep working.

  • Per-account basis: The Sync uses the selected Airbnb account connection for the property you’re on.

Edge cases & how Hububb handles them

Duplicate connection attempt (same Airbnb account already connected)

Sync won’t create duplicates.

Airbnb account has no “Listed” (active) properties

You’ll be informed; Hububb won’t create anything.

A listing disappears from Airbnb

Hububb marks it inactive and emails you about it.

Channels and rate plans mismatched

Hububb re-aligns mappings where possible; if a mapping is missing, it gets recreated.

What updates in Hububb

  • Property status: Active/inactive changes to match Airbnb.

  • Channel connections: Airbnb “pipes” are checked and fixed if needed.

  • Rate plans: Kept aligned with the listing they belong to.

  • Webhooks: Booking and messaging webhooks stay on so new events flow in.

  • Reservations: Future bookings loaded so calendars are accurate.
